Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AI Cleaner: Clean Up Storage ("AI Cleaner"), provided by Cosine Studio ("we," "us," or "our"), accesses, uses, protects, retains, deletes and, where applicable, shares information when you use the AI Cleaner iPhone app or this website.
1. Information and permissions used by the app
AI Cleaner requests access only when you choose a feature that needs it. Depending on the features you use, the app may access your Photos library, Contacts, Calendar, Google account and Gmail data. It may also process app interaction events, device and app information, purchase records and diagnostics needed to operate, secure and improve the app. Permission can be denied or changed in iOS Settings, and Gmail access is optional.
2. Google account and Gmail data we access
When you voluntarily connect a Google account, AI Cleaner requests the
openid, email and
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify scopes. This access is
used only for the Gmail features visible in the app.
Depending on the Gmail action you select, the app may access:
- Your authenticated Google account email address and Gmail profile message count.
- Gmail system labels and aggregate message counts for Promotions, Forums and Spam.
- Message and thread identifiers, labels, sender name and address, recipients, subject, snippet, received date and unread status.
- List-Unsubscribe information and a recent subject to identify subscription cleanup options.
- Message bodies in plain text or HTML and inline image attachments only when you open a message in the app.
- Message identifiers needed to move messages you explicitly select, or messages in categories you explicitly confirm, to Gmail Trash.
AI Cleaner does not receive or store your Google password. It does not send email, permanently delete Gmail messages, change account security settings or access Gmail unless you connect an account and use the Gmail feature.
3. How we use Google user data
Google user data is used solely to provide the user-facing Gmail functionality you request, including:
- Showing mailbox categories and message counts.
- Displaying searchable message summaries and, when requested, message content.
- Identifying senders with supported unsubscribe information.
- Moving messages to Gmail Trash only after your explicit action and confirmation.
- Maintaining your authorized Gmail session and refreshing OAuth access when needed.
4. Local processing and storage of Google user data
AI Cleaner processes Google user data on your iPhone. Gmail API requests travel directly between the app on your device and Google's OAuth or Gmail API endpoints. We do not upload, copy or store Google user data on developer-operated servers.
OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored locally in the iOS Keychain. To make the Gmail cleanup screen load faster, the app may keep a protected local snapshot containing your account email address, aggregate mailbox counts, subscription sender names and addresses, message counts, a recent subject and an unsubscribe link. The app treats this snapshot as fresh for no more than 10 minutes. The snapshot remains only in the app's protected local cache until it is replaced, you log out, or the app's local data is removed. It is excluded from device backups. Message bodies and inline images are processed for display and are not intentionally written to AI Cleaner's Gmail snapshot cache.
5. Sharing, transfer and disclosure of Google user data
We do not sell, rent, share, transfer or disclose Google user data to third parties. Google user data is not sent to Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Mobile Ads, advertising platforms, data brokers, information resellers, the Email Checker provider or any AI or machine-learning provider. It is transmitted only between your device and Google as necessary to provide the Gmail features you request.
Because we do not receive or keep a server-side copy of Google user data, our personnel and service providers do not have access to read your Gmail content.
6. Protection of Google user data and other sensitive data
AI Cleaner uses technical safeguards appropriate to the data it processes, including:
- HTTPS/TLS for communications with Google and other network services.
- OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code flow with PKCE using SHA-256 and a random state value.
- iOS Keychain storage configured as device-only for Google OAuth credentials.
- iOS app sandboxing and iOS file protection for the local Gmail cleanup snapshot.
- Exclusion of the Gmail cleanup snapshot from device backups.
- Separation of Google user data from analytics, crash reporting and advertising data.
- Use of the minimum Google OAuth scopes required for the Gmail features offered by the app.
No system is completely secure, but limiting Google data to the device and applying these controls reduces the risk of unauthorized access, alteration, loss or disclosure.
7. Retention and deletion of Google user data
We do not retain Google user data on developer-operated servers. Google data kept by AI Cleaner remains only on your device for the period described above and for as long as you keep your Google account connected.
To delete AI Cleaner's locally stored Google OAuth credentials and Gmail cleanup snapshot, open Clean Email, open the account/settings control and tap Log out. The app deletes those local items immediately and stops accessing Gmail. You can also revoke AI Cleaner's access from the third-party access section of your Google Account. Revoking access prevents future API access; using the in-app Log out action also clears the app's local credentials and snapshot.
Messages moved to Gmail Trash remain in your Google account and are retained or deleted according to Gmail and your Google account settings. They can normally be restored from Gmail Trash while Google still retains them. For help with a privacy or deletion request, contact us at litton.van@gmail.com. Because we hold no server-side copy of Google user data, there is no developer server copy for us to delete.
8. Google API Limited Use and AI/ML disclosure
AI Cleaner's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google Workspace API data is not used for advertising, retargeting, personalized advertising, credit or lending decisions, sale to third parties, creation of user databases, or development, improvement or training of generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
9. Photos, videos, contacts, calendar and private vault
Photo, video, contact and calendar cleanup features analyze content on your device so you can review duplicates, similar items, incomplete records, old events, compression options or deletion candidates. AI Cleaner performs photo enhancement locally in the current production configuration. Private Vault content is stored in the app's local protected storage. These items are not obtained from Google Workspace APIs and are not uploaded to our servers by these cleanup features.
10. Other services and data disclosures
The following services may process limited non-Gmail information needed for their separate purposes. They do not receive Google Workspace API data from AI Cleaner:
- Firebase Analytics: app interaction events and app/device metadata used to understand feature reliability and usage.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash and diagnostic information used to investigate app failures.
- Firebase Remote Config: device/app request information needed to retrieve feature configuration.
- Firebase Functions: App Store product and transaction identifiers used to verify purchases and entitlements.
- Google Mobile Ads: advertising and device information when ads are enabled for non-subscribers, subject to applicable consent and device settings.
- Apple and StoreKit: purchase, subscription and entitlement processing. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- XposedOrNot Email Checker: only an email address you manually enter into the separate Email Checker feature is sent to its breach lookup API. This feature is separate from Gmail cleanup and is never populated with data obtained from Google APIs.
Network providers may automatically process IP addresses and standard connection information when these services are used. We do not sell personal information or Google user data.
11. Website data
This website is a static Firebase Hosting site and does not contain account registration or a web form. The hosting provider may process standard request information, such as IP address, browser type, requested page and request time, to deliver and secure the site.
12. Children's privacy
AI Cleaner is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review the request.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, its data practices or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the date above. We will provide any additional notice or consent required before materially changing how Google user data is used.
